Candidate for Congress · Virginia's 8th District
Eric Wilson
for Congress, Virginia's 8th District
A technologist and lifelong public-service advocate running to lower costs, protect the federal workforce, and actually deliver results for Northern Virginia.
About Eric
Eric Wilson is a technologist and lifelong public-service advocate running for Congress in Virginia's 8th District. He has spent his career at the intersection of technology and government, helping organizations modernize and actually deliver for the people they serve.
Eric and his family call Northern Virginia home, where they have felt the same squeeze their neighbors have: rising costs, long commutes, and real uncertainty for the public-service workforce that powers this region. He is running because the 8th deserves a representative who shows up, sweats the details, and treats constituents as the competent, busy people they are. No slogans, just results.
Where Eric Stands
Accountability for the Federal Workforce
Our neighbors who serve the public deserve respect and due process – and taxpayers deserve a government that delivers. Eric will protect career civil servants from political interference while demanding measurable results and an end to waste.
Lowering Costs by Cutting Red Tape
Northern Virginia families face some of the highest costs in the country. Eric will cut the regulations and permitting delays that drive up housing prices, fight for lower taxes on working families, and work to bring down everyday costs from childcare to energy.
Transit That Earns Its Funding
A reliable commute matters – but so does spending discipline. Eric will tie Metro funding to performance audits, target the worst chokepoints on I-66 and I-395, and make sure every transportation dollar delivers results, not excuses.
Conservation and Clean Water
Protecting the Potomac is about stewardship, not mandates. Eric will safeguard our watershed and outdoor heritage, invest in flood-ready infrastructure, and keep our water clean through local solutions rather than top-down overreach.
Standing With Veterans and Military Families
This region is home to thousands who have served, and they have earned more than red tape. Eric will hold the VA accountable, cut wait times, expand mental-health access, and make sure benefits earned are benefits delivered.
